1. Related test requirements

 

1.1 The test object is lithium-ion battery.
1.2 Test is conducted according to the following conditions:
-Crush direction: pressure is applied perpendicular to battery plate (see Figure 2);
-Crush board shape: semi-cylinder with radius of 75mm and length (L) exceeding dimensions of the battery to be crushed;
-Crush speed: ≤2mm/s;
-Extent of crush: stop when voltage falls to 0V or deformation reaches 30% or crush pressure reaches 100kN;
-Hold for 10min.
1.3 When test is finished, observe for 1h at test temperature.
